Before you start working at Millog, we will sign a written employment contract together. The contract defines your salary, working hours, and other key terms of employment.
At the end of your summer job, you will receive a certificate of employment, making it easy to demonstrate to future employers where, when, and in what kind of role you have previously worked.

As a summer employee, you are always entitled to thorough onboarding. During this process, you will become familiar with your tasks, the correct use of tools, and safe working practices. You will also get to know the people, ways of working, and culture of your new workplace.
While your supervisor is responsible for onboarding, we encourage you to be proactive — ask questions, take notes, and make sure nothing important is missed. We also welcome your observations and development ideas.

We work daytime hours in a single shift with flexible working time arrangements. Summer employees work 7.5 or 8 hours per day, depending on the applicable collective agreement. Each workday also includes a 30-minute lunch break, which is not counted as working time.
We want our employees to feel well and have the energy to succeed. That’s why our workplace cafeterias offer a healthy, employer-subsidised lunch every day.

The employment contract may include a probationary period, allowing both the employee and the employer to ensure that the employment relationship meets their expectations.
The probationary period may be up to half of the fixed-term employment period, but no longer than six (6) months. During this time, either party may terminate the employment with immediate effect.

The salaries of employees under the age of 18 are determined according to their year of birth, in line with the applicable collective agreement*. For trainees aged 18 and over, the salary is at least at the minimum level of the lowest job demand group defined in the collective agreement*.
For university students, salary determination takes into account the number of study credits completed. In addition, the scope and complexity of the role, as well as the individual’s skills, knowledge, previous experience, and other strengths, are considered.

Summer employees are paid once a month, and the payslip is primarily delivered electronically to your online banking service. For payroll purposes, our HR assistant will ask you to provide your tax card and bank account number.
Annual leave is determined in accordance with the Annual Holidays Act, and two working days of holiday accrue for each qualifying month of employment.

We care about people and the environment. We always use appropriate tools, protective clothing, and personal protective equipment, which you will receive on your first day at work. We also sort waste and recycle it in accordance with established guidelines.
Your supervisor, colleagues, and the Health and Safety Manager will guide you in all matters related to occupational safety.

Because the reliability of our employees is essential to the safety of our customers and Millog employees, all summer employees aged 16 and over are required to pass a security clearance. The clearance process may take up to several months, so we encourage you to apply well in advance.
In addition, we will ask you to sign a confidentiality agreement, committing not to disclose any confidential information obtained during your employment outside the workplace. All Millog employees are also issued a personal ID card, which must be worn visibly at all times while on site.
